The Power of Reflection: Looking Back Can Help Us Move Forward
Self-paced
Instructor: Sarah Krueger
Full course description
In this course, we will explore how taking time to reflect on one’s own thinking, known as metacognition, can lead to meaningful improvement in writing, learning, and everyday problem-solving. Drawing on research from a study in an organic chemistry course, participants will examine how reflecting on feedback and past work can strengthen skills and promote continuous growth. Through the coursework and personal reflection, you will consider how small, intentional changes in your approach to learning can lead to stronger outcomes. The course emphasizes practical strategies for applying reflection beyond the classroom, helping learners build a growth mindset. By the end of the course, participants will better understand how reflection can serve as a simple but powerful tool for learning, helping them turn past experiences into future success.
Enrollment fee is non-refundable.
