Course Description
This course will provide hands-on skills necessary to prepare for the MOS Excel Associate Certification (MO-210). Students will learn the fundamentals of creating and managing worksheets and workbooks, creating cells and ranges, creating tables, applying formulas and functions and creating charts and objects. Students will not only apply the skills but understand the purpose and common usage of the program functionality to complete tasks in projects.

Margo Chaney Adkins
Margo Chaney Adkins has been teaching in higher education since 2003 and has fifteen years' experience working in hospitality, corporate, and private sectors. She was author and editor of the Pearson Education "Skills for Success" series for 2013, 2016 and 2019 editions. Margo teaches software courses as an Associate Professor at Carroll Community College and as an adjunct at Mount St. Mary’s University.
Technical Requirements or Needed Materials
- Participants will need a Intermediate to advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel, Windows, keyboard, and mouse; a Microsoft Office 365 subscription. (Personal or Family which includes Excel)
- A PC is preferred, since certification exams are taken in the PC environment.
